No one is more committed to RI’s agricultural success than Ken Ayars, the state’s Director of Agriculture. Join us in welcoming him to hear more about the the Rhode Island Division of Agriculture’s broad range of work including agricultural viability, animal care laws, mosquito abatement, invasive species, saltmarsh restoration, pesticide enforcement, and more.

The start-up business planning process is an iterative process. Typically, it begins with a high-level concept, and is adapted and refined as entrepreneurs learn about customer needs, markets, and product/service requirements over time. Entrepreneurs gradually incorporate the feedback they receive in eventually developing a detailed business plan. Business Planning 101 previews the topics that go into a social enterprise plan (enterprise positioning, marketing basics, business models, operations and financial planning), with the first major objective to determine the enterprise’s basic feasibility.
