Providence is a great place to work in social enterprise. There is a vibrant and growing scene of young idealists staying here after graduation, or moving here because of the energy of the city. This is a city that is getting better every day, and that has everything the budding social entrepreneur needs to succeed. Get out there and get connected!

Events, organizations and meetups for student and recent graduate social entrepreneurs

  • 1 Million Cups Providence: An event held every Wednesday at 9am for local entrepreneurs to meet and present their startups to the thriving peer network of founders in Providence.
  • Founders League: Founders league offers events for entrepreneurs at all stages of development.
  • Pecha Kucha Nights: Informal and fun gatherings where creative people get together and share their ideas, works, thoughts, holiday snaps — just about anything, really — in the PechaKucha 20×20 format.
  • Lady Project: The PVD Lady Project connects, inspires + showcases awesome women doing amazing things through events, membership + community engagement in Providence, Rhode Island.
  • Providence Entrepreneurs Meetup Group: A meetup group to mingle and socialize with other inspired entrepreneurs, idea makers and venture partners from Providence and surrounding areas.
