About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity to learn, maintain, and develop programs and services to hundreds of mission-driven entrepreneurs a year. Are you a detail-oriented systems thinker? Do you like coordinating and connecting people and ideas? 

As Program Manager, you will support and lead later-stage programs and capital access services. This position will be based in Providence, RI with the possibility to work remotely three days a week.


Specific Responsibilities

    This position will be accountable for the following goals and responsibilities:

    1. Accelerator Program Management 
    • Manage and lead the program responsibilities of the Accelerator program including but not limited to: 
      • Interviewing and assessing applicant fit for Accelerator program
      • Instructor coordination and scheduling 
      • Coach matching and communication
      • Prepping class materials
      • Overseeing class structure logistics
      • Entrepreneur support and communication 
      • Advise Ventures on topics that impact their social impact nonprofit or for profits organizations, such as inclusive leadership, data management and budgeting 
      • Analyze program data to improve program and implement continuous improvement strategies
    1. Administration and execution of Capital Access Programs
    • Administer loan fund program
    • Manage oversight and execution of Microgrant program
    • Advise ventures on loans, grant and venture capital processes 
    • Advise ventures on various loans and grants available to them
    • Create comprehensive capital access landscape
    • Create partnerships with local lending, venture capital and grant institutions and refer ventures to local capital providers
    • Create system on salesforce to track total amount of referrals and money received  
    • Compile and analyze data to demonstrate effectiveness of programs and referral process 
    1. Outreach 
    • Assist with outreach to communities around Rhode Island 
    • Promote our current services and our emerging initiatives through tabling and on the ground outreach
    • Assist with the execution of RI Commerce/SBA MBE certification program and guide ventures through ins and outs of applying 

    Core Skills & Capacities

    • Education: Bachelors of Science in Economics, Finance or similar field required, Masters in Public Affairs or International Affairs or Community development preferred
    • Experience: Demonstrated experience in assisting educational programs, working knowledge of loans and Microgrants 
    • Interest: Interest in community engagement, public affairs, economic development and various areas of social Impact, including, environment, health and wellness and human rights
    • Organization and Planning: Plans and organizes in an efficient, productive manner. Prior experience managing projects or programs preferred
    • Student orientation: Able and willing to find out what the Accelerator student wants and needs and to act accordingly.
    • Detail-Orientation: Sweats the small stuff and doesn’t let important details fall through the cracks.
    • Systems: Strong data analysis skills, including information management systems, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
    • Commitment to Addressing Issues of Race & Equity: Demonstrates an active commitment to viewing our work through an equity lens.

    This position is full-time starting as soon as possible.
