Flipping the Script: Invetor Pitch Event
As part of RI Startup Week, SEG is hosting, "Flipping the Script: Investor Pitch Event". Three top investors—representing debt, equity, and hybrid financing—will compete to pitch their investment packages to one local startup. The audience will have the opportunity to vote on which investor they believe the startup should choose.

Pawtucket/CF Impact Fund
SEG and the Papitto Opportunity Connection have partnered to offer a Pawtucket & Central Falls Impact Fund to entrepreneurs in the Pawtucket and Central Falls areas.
The fund aims to provide them with the necessary capital to modernize and grow their business. Interested applications can apply for funding up to $5K to support an activity that will help their venture achieve its modernization goals. Applications for the Impact Fund close on October 3rd. Applications are available in English & Spanish.
Woonsocket Microgrant
SEG is collaborating with Papitto Opportunity Connection’s TransformRI scholar Mariam Kaba and Leadership RI to offer the Woonsocket Microgrant Fund, supporting activities that help Woonsocket-based ventures achieve their goals.
The fund aims to support activities that help Woonsocket-based ventures achieve their goals by providing them with necessary capital. Applications close October 3rd and are available in both English & Spanish.

SEG CEO, Julie Owens was honored at the 2024 Providence Business News Leaders and Achievers Awards Ceremony. The Ceremony was held at the Aldrich Mansion where all 25 honorees were recognized for their leadership, achievements, and longstanding commitment to the business community.
