We are proud to announce our official partnership with 1 Million Cups to co-host 1 Million Cups Providence. Together with Johnson & Wales University Entrepreneurship Center, we will be co-presenting this weekly speaker series of local entrepreneurs in the community.

1 Million Cups (1MC) is a free, weekly national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Developed by the Kauffman Foundation, 1MC is based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and network over a million cups of coffee.

The Kauffman Foundation focus on entrepreneurship and education to improve the health of communities. As they cite, entrepreneurs are critical to the long-term health of our economy. They work to advance entrepreneurship education and training, to promote startup-friendly policies, and to understand what new firms need.

1 Million Cups takes place every Wednesday morning at 9AM to the Johnson & Wales Entrepreneurship Center, located downtown at 10 Abbot Park Place in the Taco Building. Coffee is always provided free of charge from Excellent Coffee Company.

This Wednesday, tomorrow July 7th, you can look forward to hearing from two of our social ventures, Beat the Streets and the Nepal Yoga Project.

This week’s presenters:

Beat The Streets @btsprovidence
The mission of Beat the Streets Providence is to put a wrestling mat, team, and coach in every Middle School and eventually every school in Providence.

Nepal Yoga Project @nepal_yoga
Nepal Yoga Project uses the power of Shri Studio‘s award winning yoga curriculum to inspire students and build healthy communities in Kathmandu and beyond.
