Providence, R.I. (November 13, 2019) – Join Social Enterprise Greenhouse (SEG) for a festive celebration as the graduates of its 2019 Health & Wellness Accelerator complete their three-month business development journey and pitch their social ventures to an audience. The 2019 Health & Wellness Accelerator Graduation and Pitch Night takes place on December 5, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the SEG Hub (10 Davol Square, Suite #100, Providence). Food and beverages will be served, and the event is free and open to all. Registration is available at bit.ly/SEG2019HWgraduation.
Social Enterprise Greenhouse’s Accelerator is the organization’s signature venture development program. It features a 12-week blended learning experience that provides social entrepreneurs with the tools, networks, and resources to further validate their venture, understand their customer, and formalize growth strategies from fundraising to social impact measurement. Additional value is provided by one-on-one business coaching, a peer cohort model, and access to SEG’s coworking space. The 2019 Health & Wellness Accelerator started in September and will graduate a cohort of 12 social ventures.
“It’s been an honor to work with the entrepreneurs in our 2019 Health & Wellness Accelerator and see the significant progress they have made in growing their businesses in the past twelve weeks,” said SEG CEO Kelly Ramirez. “Thanks to our generous funders, and our network of coaches, advisors, and workshop instructors, we’ve had the opportunity to help them gain knowledge and tools to grow their ventures, increase their social impact, and achieve financial sustainability. We are excited to see how they continue to grow, create good jobs, and strengthen the health and well-being of our community.”
The purpose of the SEG Health & Wellness Accelerator is to help create more successful, sustainable “do well do good” businesses, leading to healthier communities for all. The 2019 Health & Wellness Accelerator is funded in part by the RI Department of Labor and Training’s Real Jobs RI initiative, Newman’s Own Foundation, and Delta Dental of Rhode Island.
